Supplying Local Government

A NSWICC Partner Program initiative driving equity and economic inclusion in Local Government procurement

The NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce Inc (NSWICC), as the peak body for Indigenous businesses in New South Wales, invites Local Governments across the state to engage with us in building more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable procurement systems.

Through our Partner Program, we support councils to understand and engage Indigenous businesses—creating real economic opportunity and helping deliver on Closing the Gap commitments.

About the Program

Buying on Country, Supplying Local Government is a NSWICC-led initiative that works directly with councils to:
Build organisational capability to attract and engage certified Indigenous suppliers
Transform procurement policies and practices to drive sustainable outcomes
Create long-term relationships with Aboriginal businesses and communities
This work is grounded in the principles of equity, access, and opportunity and recognises the important role councils play in strengthening regional and local economies.

Why Work with NSWICC?

With almost 20 years of experience and a network of over 500 majority Aboriginal-owned and controlled businesses, the NSWICC is:
